WHERE IS MIHRABAT GROVE ?

HOW TO GO TO THE MIHRABAT GROVE ?

The 15th, 15P and 15T buses departing from Üsküdar can be reached in approximately 1 hour depending on the traffic. After landing at the Kanlica stop, the grove entrance is only 2 minutes walk. If you want to come from the Anatolian side or the European side with your private vehicle, just follow the signs of Mihrabat Korusu along the road by turning off the Kavacık exit of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.

History of Mihrabat Grove

Mihrabat Grove, was built by Nevşehirli Damat Ibrahim Pasha III. It is claimed that he gave the name of Mihrabat Pavilion, which was given to Ahmet. However, this pavilion was burned down and destroyed by the janissary rebellion.
During the reign of Abdulhamid along with the waterside mansion on the shores of the Bosphorus, Necibe Hanım, the wife of the ambassador of Berlin Sadullah Pasha, was given to Rukiye Hanım, the daughter of Egyptian Abbah Halim Pasha, as a face sight, and the princess rebuilt the mansion as it is today.

Today, with its promenade, seating areas, buffet, jogging track, children’s park and other units, it is one of the places where Istanbul residents breathe. Two necklaces may be seen simultaneously in the Strait of Sultan Mehmet F.
