1- Dolmabahce Palace
First place, you would like to see in istanbul part two is Dolmabahce Palace.
Dolmabahçe Palace is located on an area of 250 thousand square meters between Beşiktaş and Kabataş, on the shore of the Bosphorus. The most important feature of the palace, which was built during the Ottoman period, was that Atatürk used it as a residence during his visits to Istanbul and that the Great Leader Atatürk died in this palace on November 10, 1938. In this sense, Dolmabahçe Palace is located at the beginning of the historical places to visit in Istanbul because it shows both the palace life in the last period of the Ottoman Empire and Ataturk’s last house.
2- Beyoglu, Taksim, Galata Tower
After a trip to Dolmabahçe Palace, you can also go to Taksim, one of the touristic places in Istanbul. When you come to Taksim, you can walk from Taksim Square to Istiklal Street to Galatasaray High School and see the cafes and boutiques located right and left. It is also very pleasant to eat and drink at Nevizade Street or Çiçek Pasajı, which is right next to it. If the bellies are saturated, you can continue along İstiklal Street to Tünel, and even if there is no old moving air, you can reach Tünel through Asmalımescit.
Here you have two options. Go directly to Karaköy by tunnel or continue walking and visit Galata Tower and its surroundings, which has become quite a focus of tourists recently. You may be surprised by the development and change in this region. Go to Galata Tower, one of the oldest towers in the world, and watch the Golden Horn and the Bosphorus in a panoramic view. Galata Tower entrance fee is 10 TL. Museum card is not valid.
